Health promotion Coordinator, Cancer Society, Southland Centre

Tobacco control is a key health promotion service area for the Cancer Society. Information is available directly from the website, or from the Southland office. Current areas of work include advocacy for banning cigarette displays and smokefree outdoor spaces; supporting advisors from Budgeting Services with quitting resources for clients and a Smokefree Youth Ambassador programme. Locally, the Cancer Society is a member of Smokefree Murihiku, a group working in tobacco control and cessation.
