Smokefree Hospital Coordinator

1. On admission to hospital all patients are to be asked if they smoke, and if they can't smoke in our hospital and grounds would they accept help in the form of nicotine patches, gum or lozenges (NRT). 2. Patients are given strong advice to stop smoking to improve their health and protect the health of their whanau (family). 3. We also offer patients a free community referral for stop smoking assistance, advice and help and NRT. 4. On discharge patients receive a Quit Card ($5 each).
