Waitemata DHB

Waitemata DHB provides a comprehensive outpatient cessation service for any patient receiving treatment at its North Shore or Waitakere Hospital sites. Support is tailored to suit individual needs and typically benefits those who may not have confidence in their ability to quit and remain quit.

Multiple sessions aim to improve understanding of past quit attempts; nicotine addiction; barriers to quitting; pharmacological support options; preparation; stress management; and relapse prevention
